POSITION SUMMARY  

The Project Manager leads the planning, execution, and completion of organizational projects that span clinical, operational, financial, IT, and facilities domains. This role ensures that projects are well-scoped, aligned with strategic priorities, tracked against timelines and budgets, and communicated clearly to stakeholders. Strong emphasis on change management tools and practices. The Project Manager uses strong facilitation skills, structured project methodologies, and a collaborative approach to ensure projects deliver measurable outcomes that support Fora’s mission. 
 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES 

Key Responsibilities 

Project Leadership & Execution 

  • Lead end-to-end project management for initiatives such as: 

  • Implementation of new systems (EHR, reporting tools, SharePoint workflows, etc.) 

  • Facilities and capital projects 

  • Program expansion and new service lines 

  • Organizational process redesign and improvement 

  • Develop project charters, scope documents, timelines, communication plans, and risk logs. 

  • Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and deliverables. 

  • Facilitate project meetings, develop agendas, document decisions, and ensure follow-through. 

Monitoring, Reporting & Accountability 

  • Track milestones, budget status, dependencies, and risks across multiple active projects. 

  • Maintain project dashboards and status reports for leadership, committees, and the Board as appropriate. 

  • Escalate issues proactively and recommend solutions to keep work on track. 

  • Ensure all project documentation is organized and accessible for audit, grant, or regulatory review. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with clinical, administrative, fiscal, IT, compliance, and HR teams to ensure alignment. 

  • Serve as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex information into clear action steps. 

  • Support staff engagement through structured change management and communication. 

Continuous Improvement & Change Management 

  • Apply improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Kaizen, process mapping) to streamline workflows. 

  • Support adoption of new systems and processes through training plans, resource materials, and stakeholder coordination. 

  • Identify organizational inefficiencies and propose solutions grounded in data and operational insight. 

ADDITIONAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled. 

  • Additional trainings to be completed as assigned in a timely manner. 

  • Special projects and other duties as assigned. 

  • Participate in ongoing supervision and consultation. 

  • Provide leadership to the teams in such a way that the work environment supports and encourages values of the agency: honesty, empathy, respect, inclusion, unity. 


SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS This position does not have supervisory duties. 
 

QUALIFICATIONS  

Required 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business Administration, Public Health, Project Management, Social Services, or equivalent experience). 

  • Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit environments. 

  • Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Smartsheet, SharePoint task tracking). 

  • Proven ability to manage multiple high-visibility projects simultaneously. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. 

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Ability to translate strategy into actionable work plans. 

Preferred 

  • Certification such as PMP, CAPM, or Lean Six Sigma. 

  • Experience managing system implementations (EHR, financial systems, reporting systems). 

  • Understanding of grants management, compliance, and regulated healthcare environments. 

  • Experience with change management frameworks (ADKAR, Prosci, etc.).

OTHER REQUIREMENTS 

  • For employees with a history of substance use disorder, Fora Health’s policy requires certification of a minimum of six months of sobriety for this position. 

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests. 

  • Ability to pass DHS criminal background. 

WORKING CONDITIONS  

  • Prolonged use of computer 

  • Position generally works in an indoor office environment with infrequent travel between sites or to special events. 

  • Fast paced, high volume work environment.
